Johnny's is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to when I was a kid my mom would always take me to Johnny's and every time I bite into that burrito it tastes like childhood I recommended you try it one time

It's a must-try and lives up to its reputation with every bite--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Over the years, I've ordered many items from their menu and I have yet to hit a miss. Two of my other favorites are the fajita burrito and the taco salad, both of which burst with flavor and are always prepared to perfection. Whether dining in or taking out, Johnny's sets the standard for exceptional Mexican cuisine. Their take-out service is also top-notch, making them one of the best spots for a quick and delicious Mexican meal. The food always arrives fresh, hot, and ready to be devoured. From the perfectly seasoned beef to the comforting rice and beans, every dish feels like a home-cooked meal made with love. A Ventura institution for sure! I hadn't eaten here over 30 years and it's like I hadn't been away at all. The food has not changed at all. I got the crispy tacos and my mom got a 3 way burrito. Flavor is still the same and prices are still great! Just as I remembered. It has been on the Avenue for generations.

Johnny's remains my go-to place for delicious treats! I've been coming here for years (almost 60!). The original owners are long gone, but the taste remains the same. 60 years, and the same delicious burritos, tacos and salsa! Served from the same half door I got my order from when I was a kid. The memories every time I eat there...!

Amazingly good food & affordable prices. The shredded beef tacos remind me of Tito's tacos in Culver City. The cheese enchiladas are fantastic. Huge fan of this place I will definitely be back to try more items like the chimichangas & burritos.
